  • experiencing lack of support and resources from the systems around you - disrupting the care you would like to provide,

  • barely having time to eat or meet basic needs,


  • coming home exhausted, only to do it all again the next day.

Helping Professionals include, but are not limited to: mental health practitioners, healthcare providers and practitioners, educators, childcare providers, clergy, law enforcement, first responders. Helping Professionals provide direct service to those in need.

Immersed in nature, you will move through two all-level yoga sessions, guided breath meditation, mindfulness and nature connection practices, receive a professional massage, and enjoy periods of personal and group reflection with others in your field, exploring techniques to prevent burn-out and improve self-care.

Ari Wakeman

Ari Wakeman, LMSW, received a Masters in Social Work from the University of Michigan (2015) and has worked in a variety of integrative medical and community settings. Ari is also a certified 200-hour yoga instructor, with specializations in Yoga for 12-Step Recovery (Y12SR) and perinatal yoga. As a mother of 2 and an aspiring birth worker in addition, Ari recognizes that the caretaker role extends beyond the 9-5, and that in order to nurture others at home and work, one must have a solid system of self-care habits.   See full bio >

Emily Adama

Emily Adama, MSW, has been teaching mindfulness and meditation in various therapeutic and community settings since 2014. She holds a Masters in Social Work from the University of Michigan in Interpersonal Practice and Mental Health (2015). During these retreats, Emily offers mindfulness meditation instruction, nature-connection practices, and group facilitation. See full bio here:

The suggested price is $240, however, we offer four price options between $160 and $280 in order to reflect our values of inclusivity, affordability, and accessibility.

Our group [...] had an amazing weekend at Earthwell. We started our retreat Friday night with a restorative meditation/yoga nidra session with Emily. On Saturday, we had another guided meditation, followed by massages and then an amazing yoga class with Miriam. The setting is peaceful, quiet, and full of natural beauty. We enjoyed walking over to the adjoining nature preserve. The cabins were comfortable and nicely appointed. We left feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. We look forward to our next visit to Earthwell!
